What is Change Shift Schedule?
This type of request is used when an employee requests or agrees with their manager to change their shift schedule. The change in the schedule can either be temporary or a permanent one, please check with your manager on the duration of your change of shift.
This must be submitted at least 24 hours in advance and requires the manager's approval.
When Should I File a "Change Shift Schedule" Request?
It is important to note that whenever there is a change from your schedule in your signed contract, it is pertinent to file a "Change of Shift" request to ensure that there will be no deduction will result from the change of your original shift schedule. Changes might be due, but not limited to:
- Daylight Saving Time (DST)
- Adjustment of shift schedule due to manager request
How do I change my shift schedule?
To change your shift, you can do it in FiltaHR, and it needs approval from your direct manager. There are two options:
- Specific Day(s) – For one or more specific dates
- Permanent – This will be your new ongoing schedule.
Here’s how to request a shift change:
- Log in to your FiltaHR account.
- Go to the Time Entries Request tab.
- Choose Change Shift Schedule as the request type.
- For a permanent shift change, tick the Permanent Change Shift box. Leave it unticked for specific days.
- Select the Affected Date for a one-time change or the Start Date for a permanent change.
- Pick your preferred schedule from the dropdown.
- Add a reason for your manager.
- Click Submit.
