What is a Leave Without Pay in PH?
A Leave without pay in the Philippines (PH) can be used by employees that are either under the probationary period or regular employees with zero (0) leave credits. Yes, you can still take a leave BUT you will be unpaid for that day.
When Can You Use It?
- You can use it for vacation leave, sick leave, emergency leave, foreign public holiday leave, and business shutdowns
- You can also use it for a HALF-DAY Leave Without Pay. This is a 4-hour leave which covers a half-day of work.
IMPORTANT REMINDER!
- For sick leave or emergency leaves, notification should be at least two (2) hours before your shift time and should be filed within twenty-four (24) hours once you report back to work.
- For vacation leave, our recommendation is that you should give your line manager no less than two weeks notice.
- All leaves usage is subject for approval from the your direct manager. Taking leave without approval will be tagged as AWOL.
