Philippines Performance Improvement Plan (PIP)
A Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) is a structured, six-week program aimed at addressing specific areas where a regular employee's performance has not met established expectations. It provides a clear framework and targeted support to facilitate performance enhancement. A PIP may be initiated if you fail to meet two Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) or has two consecutive failed evaluations as a regular employee.
What Can I Expect?
- The HR Team will served and discuss the PIP notice with you in a scheduled call at least two days before the program starts
- After the notice is served and discussed, your manager will discuss with you the PIP Worksheet to align expectations
- Once the program is implemented, you will have a weekly PIP evaluation via the PIP Worksheet
- After the six weeks, one of the two things can happen:
- If you passed the PIP program, you will retain your employment
- If you fail the PIP program, a due process for possible termination will be followed which includes a Notice to Explain (NTE), Administrative Hearing, and a Notice of Decision (NOD)
